Handwoven by Fatima in Northern Portugal

A border of soft, sculptural bobbles frames a smooth woven center in this bright, natural white rug. It is made by Fatima, an artisan who lives in a remote area of Northern Portugal, on an antique loom. She spins and weaves the wool herself, using only undyed sheep’s wool.

Fatima makes each rug by hand, one at a time. Place it beside the bed, in an entryway, or under a desk to bring light and texture to the room.

✦ 100% undyed sheep’s wool, in natural white
✦ Handwoven on an antique loom in Portugal
✦ Made by a women-led artisan studio
✦ Each piece is unique

Please note: this rug is a floor sample and may show minor imperfections. All sales are final. For additional photos, email us at hello@felyhome.com.

Fatima is a one-woman studio in a remote corner of Northern Portugal. Working on an antique loom with undyed sheep’s wool, she spins and weaves each rug and cushion by hand as orders come in. Her pieces are part of an artisan studio dedicated to supporting the work of women artisans in the region.

Shake out or vacuum gently on low suction without a beater bar. Spot clean with cool water and a mild wool-safe soap, then lay flat to dry. For a deeper clean, use a professional rug cleaner. Some shedding is natural in new wool rugs and lessens over time.

2.5' × 4' (30" × 48")
Handmade; slight variations in size and tone are natural.
